The GMT design has an extra hand in the watch that points at the 24-hour time (it moves half as fast as the hour hand), and the outside bezel has a 24-hour clock on it. When you arrive in a new destination, simply twist the bezel to the left and set the 24-hour clock to the local time.
It's also a dive watch and can be taken to 300 meters/900 feet deep, making it suitable for swimming, diving and surfing. The dive bezel only turns left for diver safety, and it includes the current date on the right.
