United StatesThis is a magnificent piece of clothing and pleasingly warm. I would have given this 6 stars if that would have been possible if it had had buttons that fit. While they might be traditional, the big problem with the “tusk” buttons is the butt end WOULD NOT fit through the button holes, no matter how hard one tried—an amazing oversight for a sweater from such a prestigious company. I just got back from taking it to my tailor to have wooden buttons put on instead. She was amazed that the original buttons would not work—she tried also. I’m now having to pay her to alter a brand new sweater. Shame on Johnstons of Elgin for such poor quality control. Kudos to Johnstons of Elgin for making such an incredibly warm but very light handsome sweater. Anybody need extra tusk buttons?
United StatesWas sorely disappointed with the packaging of this beautiful sweater. However, I purchased this for a birthday gift and he absolutely was over the moon when he opened it. The sweater is stunning, your packaging - Not so much.
